Today at NVIDIA’s CES press event – our own Aidan Marcuss, who is a Senior Director of marketing here in Windows, stopped by to demonstrate Windows 8 running on NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 quad core mobile processor.

NVIDIA CES 2012 Press Conference

At last year’s CES, we announced that Windows 8 will run on System on a Chip (SoC) which included ARM architecture based processors from partners like NVIDIA. In Aidan’s demo, he showed the fast and fluid Windows 8 experience in action powered by Tegra 3 that supports hardware accelerated graphics – showing first-hand the progress we have made since that announcement last year. Combining the power of the Tegra 3 with Windows 8 means users will be able to enjoy a fantastic Windows 8 experience with their Metro-style apps from the Windows Store that will run across all their Windows 8 PCs and Tablets. For more about how we’re building Windows 8, head on over to the Building Windows 8 blog.
