It’s been a while since we chatted about the hottest PCs on the market and I know you all miss it. So, this week, we are just talking about the different PCs, their different shapes and their variety of features.
CES 2012 is taking place right now in Las Vegas and many of our OEMs are showing off really awesome PCs – some available right now and others that will hit the market soon. Freedom is described as the state of being at liberty and free from constraints. For me freedom is the ability to leave my desk, to travel for days on end and to do so with the lightest bags, the least restrictions and always an attempt at elegance. It’s for this reason that the newest ASUS ultra-portable is a breath of fresh air. The ZENBOOK is a beautiful display of what happens when designers break free of industry constraints and look for simple, beautiful design harmony.
Last week in New York, ASUS unveiled the ZENBOOK ultra-portable PC. The ZENBOOK represents collaboration between ASUS and Intel on a category of stylish and thin PCs called Ultrabooks introduced by Intel.
This morning ASUS gave me the heads up on the launch of the new G74SX power gaming laptop. Part of the venerable and well-respected Republic of Gamers lineup, the PC features the latest and greatest in gaming technology, like an HD 3D display, new SandyBridge i7 CPU and NVIDIA’s new GTX 560M GPU that has a whopping 3GB of GDDR5 VRAM. It’s upgradable to 16GB of memory and two hard drives, too.

I’m very excited to share with this blog community, that our Windows Phone engineering team has hit a very meaningful milestone; one that we’re calling technical preview. We are certainly not done yet – but the craftsmen (and women) of our team have signed off that our software is now ready for the hands-on everyday use of a broad set of consumers around the world – and we’re looking forward to their feedback in the coming weeks, so that we can finish the best Windows Phone release ever together.
