Earlier today you probably spotted the big, big news from our pals over on the Xbox team. They’re bringing a new world of entertainment to your living room and making it faster, funner (yes, that’s right, funner) and easier to find.

The big day is finally here! As Eric noted this morning, we’re officially rolling out Windows Phone 7.5 (which many of you know better as Mango) worldwide through our mobile operator partners. While many of 7.5’s killer new features like Bing Vision, Threads, Groups and the new IE9 have been on display for a while, there are a few secrets we’ve kept under wraps. Today I’ll walk you through them.

You know what Sony does well? Make a premium PC. They proved that again with today’s refresh of the VAIO S ultraportable line and the high-end entertainment powerhouse F series.

Following last week’s commercial and consumer notebook refresh, HP dropped three new desktop PCs today.  They all look really sharp, have great specs, and come at very, very reasonable price points. 

Here’s what’s new:

One of the most common misconceptions about PCs is that the bigger the screen, the more items you’ll be able to pack on it. After all, bigger is better, right?

Well, sort of.

It’s been quite a week at CES 2011 and before I sign off for a bit, I wanted to leave you with a few final thoughts:

Acer kept this week’s PC news rolling with the introduction of the sharp-looking Gateway ZX One all-in-one.  It’s got a look that’s pretty different than most AIO’s; it’s trimmed with a glossy bezel and chrome, and it has an elegantly curved bottom edge that’s backlit.

Acer is probably best known for being one of the players responsible for sparking the netbook craze with the launch of their immensely popular Acer Aspire One. Today, they’re refreshing that line with two new AMD-powered netbooks, the 11.6” Acer Aspire One AO721 and the 10.1” Acer Aspire One AO521.

Choosing the right PC can be overwhelming – there are so many cool designs, PC manufacturers and hardware configurations to choose one. While all of my posts are designed to make that experience a little easier, I’m taking things one step further.
