CES 2012 continues to take place this week and I bring you the 2nd video in our 2-part series where we visited several of our OEMs on the showroom floor to get a peek at the PCs they are showing off. Video #2 is below!

Brr… its cold outside! As both winter and the holidays are in full swing around us, it’s always fun to have a distraction. This week, Sony is going to be providing a few huge distractions. First off, we’ll be giving away a Sony VAIO SE 15” Windows PC which is one of the hottest PCs on the market. Last week in New York, ASUS unveiled the ZENBOOK ultra-portable PC. The ZENBOOK represents collaboration between ASUS and Intel on a category of stylish and thin PCs called Ultrabooks introduced by Intel.

Today Sony has revealed a new VAIO S Series Windows PC (VAIO SE) with a 15.5-inch full-on 1080p HD display. The VAIO S Series has a slim and light design with an optional sheet battery for impressive battery life (up to 12 hours!).

Last year I wrote about Sony’s amazing VAIO Z. It was the PC I used for several months as my main work laptop and the one that was in my bag when my son was born last June. I defined the Z as “luxury computing”; it was fast, light, beautifully designed and sported features that no other laptop on the market had. To this day I rank it as one of the best PC’s I’ve ever used.

If I had a PC up to15 hours of battery life, I’d hop a flight to Cartagena, Colombia (9 hours flying time) and then head straight to the beach for an all-day session soaking up the sun (6 hours) without ever having to plug in my laptop.

Sony lifted the curtain on a pretty sweet new laptop, the high-end VAIO S Series. The new 13.3” PCs boast some pretty impressive specs, like new “Sandybridge” i5 and i7 processors, solid state drives, backlit keyboards, Blu-Ray and hybrid AMD Radeon HD 6630 graphics that auto-switch between discrete and integrated GPUs.

Sony is one of those companies where you can be pretty sure that when they release something new, it’s going to be awesome.  That was certainly the case at CES 2011, where VAIO Product Manager Kevin Sather showed me just a few of their newest PCs.  In addition to the brand new ultralight Sony Y (powered by AMD’s new processors) that starts at $549, I got to check out Sony’s new VAIO F 3D laptop, which packs a new second-generation Intel i7 quad-core processor and Blu-Ray, and the impressively designed refres
