Today Sony has revealed a new VAIO S Series Windows PC (VAIO SE) with a 15.5-inch full-on 1080p HD display. The VAIO S Series has a slim and light design with an optional sheet battery for impressive battery life (up to 12 hours!).

Sony’s new VAIO Z redefines luxury computing

Last year I wrote about Sony’s amazing VAIO Z. It was the PC I used for several months as my main work laptop and the one that was in my bag when my son was born last June. I defined the Z as “luxury computing”; it was fast, light, beautifully designed and sported features that no other laptop on the market had. To this day I rank it as one of the best PC’s I’ve ever used.

What Would You Do If You Had Up to 15 Hours of Battery Life?

If I had a PC up to15 hours of battery life, I’d hop a flight to Cartagena, Colombia (9 hours flying time) and then head straight to the beach for an all-day session soaking up the sun (6 hours) without ever having to plug in my laptop.
