Today, the W3C formally created a working group to focus on consumer privacy on the Internet.

Just four weeks after the release of Internet Explorer 9, Dean Hachamovitch today announced the first platform preview of Internet Explorer 10 at MIX 2011.

Vegas, we have arrived! After a great pre-day with two Boot Camp sessions spanning topics like HTML5, CSS3, Canvas, and jQuery, the Internet Explorer team is ready to kick MIX11 off with a bang tomorrow morning.

Vegas baby! That’s right – MIX11 is almost here, and team IE will be on the ground spreading the news of Internet Explorer 9 and giving away a few things as well. Keeping up with us will be easy – just follow @IE on Twitter to get the cues and the clues throughout the week.

If you’re attending MIX11 next week and saw any of our coverage from SXSW last month, you already know the drill. And if you didn’t – we have more in store at MIX11!

I mentioned last month that we would be down in Austin, TX for SXSW. Since then there has been plenty of speculation and interest as to what might be happening. Exactly twelve months from the first Platform Preview of IE9, on Monday March 14th we will celebrate the developers and designers who are making a more beautiful web for all of us.  We will release the final version of Internet Explorer 9 for download beginning at 9 p.m. Pacific.

I recently talked about the Windows Summit 2010 and today I want to give everyone a quick update on the event and some new content that went live earlier today.  If you have not yet heard, the Windows Summit 2010 is an online event for hardware and software designers, developers, engineers and testers who want to build great products on Windows 7. 

MIX10 officially begins tomorrow in Las Vegas. MIX is an annual event we put on for designers and developers to learn about Microsoft’s broad web platform and tools. Essentially we’re bringing a bunch of designers and developers together to talk about bringing together the clients, servers and cloud services to create great rich web applications.

What an exciting week this week will be! I won’t be attending MIX10 myself this year, so I will be joining the many who could not attend by watching MIX10 unfold online – and live.
