When I was in college (The College of William & Mary, Class of 2000) all I had to work with was a struggling Pentium II PC running Windows 95 that my Dad built—and I was really grateful for it.  At least I could do my homework and play a networked game of Quake in warm peace.  About half my freshman hall had to make midnight trips to computer labs on sleet-slickened brick walkways to do homework—and forgo gaming entirely.

In a few previous blog posts I’ve done over the last couple months, I talked about or mentioned the awesome Games for Windows – LIVE game Batman: Arkham Asylum. In early December, we introduced Games on Demand for Games for Windows – LIVE with Batman: Arkham Asylum as one of the showcase titles.

In a companion post on the Windows Phone Blog, we have unveiled the highly anticipated Windows Phone 7 Series. For the first time ever, we are bringing together Xbox LIVE games and the Zune music and video experience to phones. Developers are already speculating about the app platform and tools. All I can tell you is that we are going big at MIX10, March 15-17.
