Microsoft Hardware is announcing today the Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000. This is like the “little brother” to the Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 – but without the separate number pad. The Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 5000 is a full-size keyboard and is light-weight with a very slim design. It features the approved design by Microsoft’s resident Ergonomist Dr. Dan Odell.

Today’s PC Snapshot is on the Dell Vostro v130.  It’s part of Dell’s Vostro small business line, but I’ve found it to be a great laptop for professionals, students, or for casual users looking to get a great looking laptop for not a lot of money.  You can get a Vostro v130 in the same beautiful garnet red aluminum as mine for as little as $529.

This morning Dell announced the new the new Inspiron M5030, the first Spanish-language laptop available in the U.S., to Los Angeles consumers.  It’s the same laptop that Dell successfully introduced to customers in Miami and Atlanta in April.  The M5030 is a really cool concept; it’s a great 15” laptop packed with an AMD Athlon™ II Dual-Core P360, 4GB of RAM, a huge 320GB hard drive, discrete ATI HD graphics, and an HD screen, and it’s outfitted with a Spanish-language keyboard and a Spanish version

A few years back, if you worked with multiple PCs, like a desktop in your office and a laptop on the road, you ran into a hitch every time you moved back and forth between them – your stuff was always in two different versions in two different places.  This was a real pain.  To solve it, you were either stuck shuttling files between PCs with a flash drive (or a DVD, CD or floppy before that), or emailing the latest version to yourself with a complicated name, like “Presentation for executives FROM LAPTOP V3.doc”.

Dell just announced the brand-new XPS 15z.  It’s the thinnest 15” PC in the world.  Ever. 

One of the most common misconceptions about PCs is that the bigger the screen, the more items you’ll be able to pack on it. After all, bigger is better, right?
