This weekend, the Windows Phone 7 team will hit the big apple for the 6th annual BlogHer Conference at the Hilton New York. This year is the largest ever, with more than 2,400 female bloggers from around the world in attendance. The conference is the brainchild of the BlogHer Network, the largest community of women who blog, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Hello, my name is Lisa Worthington. I’m excited to be joining my colleagues Brandon, “Ben The PC Guy” and Ashley on Windows Experience Blog as our expert in all things that moms and parents in general (not to leave out the dads out there!) want to know relative to Windows and your family’s PC experience. I have a husband who loves to game and two young daughters, “A” and “K,” who keep me on my toes but add a lot of fun to a very chaotic life.

Wow!  That pretty much sums up everyone’s reaction at the phenomenal response to the first Windows Recession Sweepstakes.  Turns out your odds of winning were a little better than 1/797 (factoring out duplicates, my comments, invalid entries, etc.).  And the lucky winner is:

It’s been a long year. Just when the economy was starting to look perky job growth stalled in its non-Census tracks. Then summer, which we normally can’t wait to see, broke down the door and turned most of the country into a sweltering puddle of sweat—except Seattle, where it’s freezing and rainy. And since we Puget Sound-based Microsofties only see an average of 58 sunny days a year, our gloom is particularly profound right now.

So, we decided to give a bunch of stuff away to make you feel better. We’re calling it the “Recession Sweepstakes”.
