Here’s an early Valentine for game lovers. Today we’re unveiling the release schedule and pricing for the latest Must Have Games lineup, which we originally announced a few weeks ago at CES in Las Vegas.
There will be a new game to grab each week starting with Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit ($4.99) on February 1. Here’s the rest of the lineup:
Today Microsoft and IDG hosted a webcast discussion where participants touched on a range of topics: from the flexible workstyles of today’s workforce to useful information on Windows 7 deployment. I found the conversation insightful so wanted to share a few key takeaways.
As I wrote last week, our final tally from the CES 2012 #smokedbywindowsphone $100 challenge was 30 wins, 3 losses, and 1 draw. Not all of the challenges made it into digital shorts (which you can check out on the $100 YouTube playlist) so my team put together a “best of” video to show more of our favorite moments. The challenge is in full swing! Today we’ve had challengers coming at us with iPhones, Blackberries, and a whole host of Android phones. Almost all of the challenges (nearly 30 of them!) we won hands down, like this one where we showed how easy it is to find a great place to eat nearby with Local Scout:
But in a few cases – 3 to be exact – we lost by a hair:
It was a busy, busy first day on the show floor at CES, and the $100 challenge saw over 25 competitors step up against Windows Phone. The result? A pretty impressive record of:
Our first challenger yesterday stepped up with a brand-new Galaxy Nexus, which, if you’re not familiar, is the latest Android phone from Google and the first to sport Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The challenge was to find a 4-start Chinese restaurant nearby, then find directions to it. Here’s how it went down:
