Dell just announced they would acquire Perot Systems for a cool $3.9 billion.  The all stock deal is expected to be approved and go through around January of next year.  The acquisition could be just what the doctor ordered for the troubled hardware manufacturer.  Dell has been looking to expand their IT services and packages for a while now.

The newly acquired company will allow Dell to offer their hardware to customers of the former Perot Systems.  Not only expanding their hardware business clientele but also allowing them to offer IT support and expertise where perhaps the customer would have gone elsewhere for.
