I'd like to take a quick opinion poll, so-to-speak. Everyone has probably heard Windows 7 is out. Let's face it, if you haven't heard you've been living under a rock! Microsoft won't quit with the ads. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I'd like to get people's opinion on their plans for upgrade.
1. Are you going to upgrade at all?
2. What OS are you coming from?
3. Have you used any of the Upgrade Advisor's from Microsoft?
4. Are you forced to buy any hardware?
Thanks,
Jeff

I upgraded from Vista as soon
I upgraded from Vista as soon as the Win 7 release candidate was available ( could not wait to get rid of Vista )
Never really use the Upgrade Advisor since I pretty much keep up with the latest software already.
We ran Win 7 on a old Pentium "m" thinkpad T40 laptop, ran flawless so other low end systems: laptops/desktops with Intel celerons or AMD sempron cpu's, run really fast with this OS.
No hardware upgrades needed most folks already have the standard 2 gigs of memory right?

I'm planning to get away from
I'm planning to get away from Windows Vista as soon as I can afford Windows 7. I've played around with the upgrade adviser and it's made some pretty good recommendations. It also always suggests you go out and buy more hardware! Of course I'll probably need to max out the RAM to 4GB to get a decent experience.
